I’ve been on tumblr since I was 15 years old.
I’m almost 23 now.

I started this blog because I had deleted my myspace and I was bored after school one day. Everything was different back then.

This blog changed my life. If I had not started this blog I honestly don’t know what I would be like as a person right now. Through tumblr I discovered SO MUCH of the musical artists that I listen to currently. It was on my dashboard that I listened to The Weeknd for the first time, Earl Sweatshirt, and countless others that I still have on rotation, so long ago yet still so relevant.

This blog is where I was introduced to street fashion that was more than just a t shirt or blouse, cardigan or sweatshirt and jeans. If you know me personally now, I no longer own any blue jeans. I constantly am complimented by strangers on my clothing, that is often customized by myself or purchased very inexpensively at a thrift.

This blog is where I learned to understand white privilege and became aware of countless social issues that I would be completely ignorant to if I had never had a tumblr. This blog is where I learned why Black Lives Matter, a movement that has opened my eyes to so many things that I was wrong about, that I needed to know. There is no explanation to do that justice.

This blog is where I spent hours and hours scrolling through amazing photography, inspiring me to become an artist and teaching me that there is so much beauty in every single day whether you’re on the beach in Malibu or in a blizzard in Maine. I have opened my eyes and seen so many beautiful moments in my own life that I might not have recognized without this blog.

To the followers that actually have noticed my content, I was motivated to stay on here because of you. This blog has become such a close friend to me, and it is because of you.

I am going to continue blogging, but at a different URL. I no longer have access to the email that this blog is connected to, and only have access to this blog by auto sign in on my iPad, which is starting to come to the end of its life, so I’ve decided to sign out and start anew. My new URL is frolicandgambol.tumblr.com

Words cannot describe the attachment I feel to this blog and to the strangers that I’ve spoken to here that offered support and feedback. Thank you for that.

And now, on to a new adventure.
